SPE Turkey Section Student Paper Contest will be held during the 21st International Petroleum and Natural Gas Congres and Exhibition of Türkiye, IPETGAS, 2023.
- Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering students from the universities that have SPE Turkey Student Sections can participate in the contest
- The paper contest will be held in two divisions: Graduate and Undergraduate
- The division will be canceled if the number of applicants is less than 3. If the number of applicants exceeds 5, each division will be reduced to 5 applicants by evaluating abstracts (Due to time limitations).
- Current students and students who graduated after the SPE Turkey 2020 Student Paper Contest can participate in the competition.
- The applicants must upload an abstract to https://www.ipetgas.org/ by 30 June to be considered for the contest.
- The study must be related to petroleum, natural gas, and geothermal engineering and written in English or Turkish.
- The study must not have been previously presented at an SPE symposium or accepted for publication in a journal.
- The abstract should not be more than 250 words and not less than 100 words.
- Students will present their papers in English or Turkish in 15 minutes.
- There will be 10 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for the question-answer part.
- The top 3 students will be granted a monetary award as a result of scoring by the contest committee, and participation gifts will be given to all our participants.
- 500 TL of the transportation expenses of the students who will participate in the competition from outside of Ankara, and 1000 TL of those who will participate from METU NCC will be covered by SPE Turkey.
