Chief Reservoir Engineer, Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TP)
Murat Fatih TUĞAN graduated from METU Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department in 2006 and started to work for TPAO Thrace District Production Department as a Production Engineer. Meantime, he started studying master's degree in ITU Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department and graduated in June 2010. After April 2009, he continued his carreer in TPAO General Directorate Production Department as a Reservoir Engineer. He worked in several projects of TPAO, including Western Black Sea Exploration and Production Project, Libya and Colombia Exploration and Production Projects, Afghanistan Workover and Well Testing Projects and Domestic Unconventional Projects.
His special Interests include pressure transient test design and analysis, production performance analysis, numerical reservoir simulation, reserves estimation and classification and unconventional oil and gas reservoir engineering .
Murat Fatih TUĞAN is currently working for TPAO as Chief Reservoir Engineer and pursuing Ph.D degree in METU Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department. He is also a member of PMO (Chamber of Petroleum Engineers) and SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers). He is the current SPE Turkey Section President since 2014 and in the board since 2012.
